- Celebrated 25 years of presence in the region.
- Won the “2013 Global Emerging Market Retailer of the Year” at the Retail Leisure International Awards held in London.
- Forbes Middle East ranked Giordano as one of the top 100 companies making a difference in the Arab World.
2012
- Giordano’s e-shopping service launched in the UAE.
- Launched Giordano Initiative For Talent (G.I.F.T.), a CSR programme to support the local community in partnership with Mawaheb’s Dubai Art Studio.
2011
- Named one of the best brands for jeans among Saudi teens, according to a survey from Communicate Levant magazine.
- Opened its 200th store in the Middle East, located in Mushrif Mall, Abu Dhabi.
- Launched "Giordano Means Service," a unique customer service programme.
- The first Giordano store opened in Beirut Mall, Lebanon.
2010
- Expanded with 12 new stores and kiosks, bringing the total to 188 stores across the Middle East and India.
- Celebrated 15 years of operations in Saudi Arabia and donated SR125,000 to the Disabled Children’s Association.
- Launched the innovative "Essential Kiosks" retail concept in Saudi Arabia.
- Reached out to new markets, opening its first stores in Syria and Iraq.
2009
- Awarded BEST SERVICE PERFORMANCE BRAND by the Department of Economic Development in Dubai.
- Awarded Best Retailer of the Year and Best Fashion Store by Ajman City Centre.
- Giordano India opened its 11th store in Hyderabad.
2008
- Crossed the 160 store mark with the opening of two flagship stores in Dubai Mall, UAE and Mall of Arabia, Jeddah.
- Launched its new brand BSX in Saudi Arabia.
2007
- Opened a new store in Dubai Festival City, operating a total of 135 stores in the Middle East.
- Syed M.Salahuddin, Managing Director of ETA-ASCON-STAR Group (of which Giordano Middle East is a member), was honored with the prestigious PRAVASI BHARATIYA SAMMAN AWARD.
2006
- Giordano Saudi Arabia celebrated its 10th Anniversary with a generous donation to the Disabled Children's Association.
- Entered new markets with shops opened in Russia, Bulgaria, Armenia, and Algeria.
- Achieved regional SUPERBRAND status, confirmed as one of the Arab World's leading brands.
- Launched operations in India with the first store opening in Chennai.
- Organized the first ever Warehouse Festival at the company's Distribution Centre.
2005
- Organised its third Giothon, raising AED 30,000 for The Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre.
- Crossed the 100 Store mark with new stores in the IBN Battuta Mall, Dubai.
- Hosted its first ever Giordano Bazaar for Giordano Card Holders.
- Officially launched the Giordano Junior brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
2004
- Became the first apparel retailer to receive the Dubai Quality Appreciation Programme (DQAP) Award.
- Entered the markets of Kazakhstan, Sudan, Maldives, and Sri Lanka.
- Held its second Giothon, raising AED 30,000 for The Rashid Pediatric Therapy Centre.
- Launched Gio-X-Press, an inter-connective service between stores for customer convenience.
- Launched a comprehensive Nationalization Programme in Saudi Arabia to integrate nationals into the service industry.
- Launched the Giordano Card, a customer appreciation and loyalty card.

2003
- Celebrated 10 Years of operations in the Middle East.
- Received the Market of the Year award from Giordano International.
- Established six stores in Kuwait and reached the 25 store mark in Saudi Arabia.
- Launched Giothon, a community walkathon, raising AED 25,000 for The Rashid Pediatric Centre.
- Received certification from the Dubai Services Excellence Scheme for stores across Dubai.
2002
- Achieved the '60 stores' mark in the Arab World.
- Launched "Simplicity - Your Guide To Dressing" for its Middle East customers.
- Nominated by the Middle East Economic Digest (MEED) to receive the 2002 Award for Business-to-Consumer Service Supplier Excellence.
2000
Launched a corporate sales division to provide uniforms and corporate clothing for Middle East companies, including Microsoft, Sun Microsystems, IKEA, and Mashreq Bank.
1998
- Giordano International adopted strategies to deal with the Asian financial crises with more emphasis on quality, style and authority.
- Giordano Middle East entered into a franchise agreement to open its first store in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
1997
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan became the fourth Arab country to open a Giordano store through a franchise agreement.
1995
Opened its first stores in the Sultanate of Oman and at Al Faisalia Plaza in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
1993
Giordano Middle East launched its first store in the Arab world at the Burjuman Centre in Dubai, UAE.
